Aims of PPSEAWA

To strengthen the bonds of peace by fostering friendship and better understanding among women in all areas of the Pacific and South East Asia;

To promote cooperation among women of these regions for the study and improvement of social, economic and cultural conditions

Membership of PPSEAWA is open to:

All women who are interested in furthering the aims of the Association
Women's organisations with common objectives to those of PPSEAWA.

PPSEAWA is active in:

Identifying needs and problems of women and children;
Protecting the status of women and children;
Protecting family and child welfare;
Furthering education, skills training and literacy programs for all age groups
Raising funds and mobilising local help
Working to protect and improve the environment
Providing hospitality and social interaction among members
Convening regional seminars on specific subjects

PPSEAWA sees the future as:

Growth of the organisation both through increased membership in existing groups and through the establishment of new groups;
Increased activity in all PPSEAWA countries with new member organisations from countries in the Asia Pacific region;
Increased participation in all United Nations affairs.
